Tipping Point Social is a service for establishing consensus and breaking out of network effects.

How does it work?

1) Influencers create simple proposals or plans for friends or for the public. They can promote their proposal on any social media platform with a simple URL.

2) Followers can agree with the proposal or eject it. Or they tentatively agree on the condition that certain people or enough people agree (ie. their tipping point). They in turn send out more invites for the proposal.
3) As more and more users see the proposal, eventually there’s a critical mass. Each user gets notified when their own tipping point is reached. The group is now ready to take collective action.

Use Cases

This modern age of tech has given consumers an overwhelming amount of choice. Yet paradoxically, due to power effects like “network effect”, industry consolidation, social media algorithms, and vendor lock in, consumers in practice aren’t empowered to choose.

Tipping Point can be used when you need critical mass before taking an action or making a change. For example...

setting self-improvement goals or travel plans with a group of friends

influencers convincing other influencers and their followers to switch from one social network to another

petitioning industry leaders to make policy changes
